Quite often people will ask what type of turkey calls we prefer. As a team some of us prefer one call over others (mouth calls, boxes, ect) but there is one call that we can all agree on and that is a Ghost Maker Custom Call from Ed Jenkins. When looking for a good pot and striker call the first thing I personally look for is quality. I want to know that if I spend my hard earned money that my new call is going to sound great, look great and its going to last. I personally have some calls that I have carried for over twenty years so a quality call is extremely important to me.
In the spring of 2012 Final Impact Outdoors was introduced to Ed Jenkins and his Ghost Maker Calls. This call turned out to be a total game changer for us! The first thing you notice about the call is its beauty. You can tell just by looking at it that Ed really takes a lot of pride in making each call. You can order your call in a variety of domestic or exotic wood. Some woods are denser than others and this will affect the pitch of the call. Ed will gladly take the time to discuss this with you to ensure that you get exactly what you are looking for. Ghost Maker Calls also come in a variety of different striking surfaces. Now that we are past the quality and the beauty we cannot forget to mention the sounds that come from these calls. I have been around turkey calls my whole life. I have competed in several different local and state level turkey calling contest with quite a bit of success in the past and I have to say without a doubt that this is the finest call that I have ever owned!
